Two day race at both NORCAR and Austintown Hobby. Only $50 for both days and unlimited classes!

This will be bring your own Can-Am motors and tires! Tires and motors do not need to be purchased at NORCAR or Austintown Hobby. We’ll have a limited number of motors to rent and tires available to purchase.

• Tamiya Euro Truck (“Fun run” box stock class. We will not have trophies for this class.)

We’ve updated our website to reflect the Can-Am class rules and have added the Tamiya Euro Truck. These rules will be used for the 2019 Hangover Classic and the 2019 Winter Classic with Austintown Hobby. Although we will have a limited number of Can-Am motors available to rent at the track, racers are encouraged to purchase their own Can-Am motors.

Starting with the club race on November 10, 2018 we will require Can-Am motors for the WGT-R class. Gearing will be fixed at 92t spur, 36t pinion. Racers may purchase their own Can-Am ORCA WGT-R motors through NORCAR and keep them in their cars. They may be used at other local tracks if their rules allow.

We will continue rolling out Can-Am rules and motors to other classes throughout the rest of 2018 and early 2019 so stay tuned!

NORCAR is a non-profit organization and run by a seven person board of directors. All club members in good standing and up-to-date on membership dues may vote in the board elections. In order to run for a position on the board of directors, you must be in good standing, up-to-date on membership dues, must be able to commit to attend board meetings, ​track change-overs, help during race day, etc.

Board positions are held for two years. Each year, approximately half of the board positions will be up for re-election. This allows the club to keep some continuity and experience on the board from year-to-year.

If you’d like to run for a board position, please talk to one of the existing board members or send an email to info@norcarracing.com by 11:00PM EDT on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Elections will be held at our club race on Saturday, October 6, 2018. If you are a paid member in good standing and would like to vote by email, please contact us at info@norcarracing.com prior to 6:00PM EDT on Friday, October 5, 2018. We will reply with a list of candidates. Your votes must be returned by email by 12:00PM EDT (noon) on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Election results will be announced shortly after.

Rules:

• NORCAR only supports “two wire” transponders. This includes the MyLaps RC4 Hybrid and MRT.
• All general NORCAR club rules apply. Click HERE for details.
• Traction compound: SXT Regular (1 bottle free with first entry) All other SXT compounds are allowed.
• All Can-Am rental motors will have female 3.5mm bullets permanently attached to the motor. They may not be removed and racers are not allowed to solder wires to the motors. All racers running any Can-Am class must have 3.5mm male bullets on their ESC wires.
• Can-Am motors must be removed from the vehicle and turned in at the end of each day. Motors cannot leave the track facility!
• Can-Am motors must be returned after your main. Any motor that is damaged (including stripped threads), tampered with (including removing paint marks and/or stickers), or modified in any way will result in the racer having to pay the full retail cost of the motor.
• ESC’s will be spot checked throughout the day to make sure ROAR legal firmware is installed. v4.2 for Hobbywing and v258 for Tekin are the latest ROAR legal firmware updates for those ESC’s.

We will be performing tech before each heat. This includes (but not necessarily limited to) battery voltage, ESC “blinky” mode, and minimum class weight. Vehicles that do not pass tech will not be allowed to race in that heat.
